WELCOME TO THE BDSL 2024-25 SEASON

A very enthusiastic welcome, to all members, to the web site, of the Bridgend and District Snooker League. It is not known when the original Port Talbot Snooker League was set up, however,
it progressed to a competitive association comprising of three league divisions. Teams from Port Talbot, Bridgend, Ogmore, Garw and Llynfi Valleys participating. Presentation nights were always a
great success. Over a period of time interest in the sport diminished but stalwarts maintained the league in the vicinity of Bridgend. On the 27th September 2019 the league officially changed the
name to Bridgend and District Snooker League. The site will keep up- to -date information on all aspects of the league and hopefully this will encourage its use. Members will be able to
communicate with other members in a more direct manner. Please encourage everyone to make use of this site.

COMPETITON DRAWS
The competition draws we carried out on Saturday 26th October 2024 at Brackla Snooker Centre.
There to whitness the draws and gave a helping hand were Norman Cole (HYC 'A' / League Chair) and Sam Beasant (Brackla 'USC).
The league thanks them for giving their time to help out.
The league website has been updated with the relevant files and information regarding the draws.

TOURNAMENT POINTS
The league sec has decided to take a suggestion from Gareth Evans (Pencoed Social) this year to give the 'RANKING POINTS' to relevant tournament
players in advance, in a bid to give the competators their exact position in the league.
If there are any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the league Chairman or League Sec for further information on this.

2024-25 CONCLUSION
As the Bridgend and District Snooker League see's the season come to the end,
the League would like to grasp the oppertunity to congratulate our 2024-25 BDSL DIVISION 1 WINNERS, NANTYMOEL 'A', on their excellent performance this year.
Also congratulations to our DIVISION 1 RUNNERS UP OGMORE GON 'A', on another great effort this year.
Not forgetting our DIVISION 2 WINNERS, undefeated champions, congratulations to HEOL Y CYW 'B', outstanding all year.
And a great effort from our DIVISION 2 RUNNERS UP, The OGMORE NON POL... Well done boys :)

The league aslo congratulates the winners and runner's up of the 2024-25 tounaments as named above, some amazing snooker played by all players.

We would like to thank each and every player, old and new, for entering and supporting our growing league,
this gives us the oppertunity to expand and better the league within the coming seasons.
We look forward to seeing you all next season, and in the meantime, keep that arm going.
